The Fruits of Her Labor: A Passionate Life Dedicated to Healing
Sunday, March 25, 2012 – 5:30 pm San Diego, CA Dinner and Classical Recital by Francesca Dego & Francesca Leonardi $200 per ticket – Purchase tickets here
We hope you can join us at The Fruits of Her Labor: A Passionate Life Dedicated to Healing to celebrate Charlotte Gerson’s 90th birthday. We will begin the evening with a social hour, followed by a performance by Charlotte’s granddaughter, renowned classical violinist Francesca Dego. We will provide a dinner with many options for those following the Gerson Therapy, and hear tributes from the many people whose lives Charlotte has touched. If you would like to join us, you can purchase tickets online or contact our Development Coordinator, Mikhaela Payden-Travers at (619) 985-3786 or [email protected]. If you can’t join us, you can still take part in the festivities by making a video birthday greeting. Learn more about how you can send Charlotte your birthday wishes. If you would like to honor Charlotte, she suggested that her supporters make a donation to the Gerson Institute, to help us carry on her life’s work for years to come.
Your donation supports our education and outreach programs, and will also help us in the creation of the Charlotte Gerson Legacy Orchard. Our birthday gift to Charlotte will be an organic orchard at Wild Willow Farm! We are working with our friends at San Diego Roots Sustainable Food Project, a fellow local non-profit, with a shared goal of promoting sustainable, affordable organic agriculture in San Diego County. Born in Germany, Charlotte Gerson was the youngest daughter of Dr. Max Gerson and assisted her father with translating and writing papers, making rounds and nursing patients. When Dr. Gerson died in 1959, Charlotte kept her father’s discoveries alive by keeping his book A Cancer Therapy: Results of 50 Cases in print and educating the public about the Gerson Therapy. As a result of her work, public interest for the Gerson Therapy began to grow.
