Contraindicaciones y Precauciones para hacer la Terapia Gerson

Mientras que la Terapia Gerson es eficaz en el tratamiento de una amplia gama de enfermedades crónicas y degenerativas, existen limitantes en diagnósticos y condiciones que la terapia puede tratar eficazmente.

Hay una serie de condiciones que la Terapia Gerson no puede tratar, o que requieren modificaciones significativas al protocolo estándar. Gerson Practitioner Residents

The practitioner-in-training in this class level has completed the first year of internship and has successfully passed the clinical competency level to move to the Gerson Resident status. El paciente está bajo altas dosis de medicamento
Debido a que la Terapia Gerson puede afectar la manera en que los medicamentos funcionan en el organismo, un paciente que toma medicamentos prescritos, necesita orientación de un médico Gerson para determinar si alguno de estos medicamentos pudiera ocasionar complicaciones de salud al combinarlos con la Terapia Gerson.
Daño hepático severo (hígado)
En el caso de insuficiencia hepática (deterioro de más del 50% del hígado), la Terapia Gerson debe ser muy reducida y por esta razón, el paciente normalmente no obtiene suficiente beneficio del tratamiento.
En presencia de ictericia (cuando los niveles de bilirrubina en la sangre están elevados debido a una obstrucción en los conductos biliares), el paciente puede necesitar un stent para mantener los conductos biliares abiertos, después de esto el paciente pudiera empezar con una Terapia Gerson modificada. Esta condición también podría indicar que la enfermedad del paciente está en un estado avanzado y bajo estas circunstancias la Terapia Gerson pudiera no ayudar.
Enfermedad renal crónica
La base de la Terapia Gerson es la nutrición (una alimentación alta en potasio) y la desintoxicación. Los riñones y el hígado son órganos esenciales para la desintoxicación. Debido a que la terapia promueve más desintoxicación de lo habitual, un paciente debe tener riñones sanos para hacer la Terapia Gerson.
Los riñones deben tener al menos 15-20% de su función normal para que un paciente sea considerado por el tratamiento Gerson. Lo anterior es necesario para hacer frente al gran volumen de jugo y la alimentación alta en potasio y baja en sodio. Si los riñones tienen un funcionamiento menor del 15-20% de su función normal, la Terapia Gerson no sería una buena opción para el paciente.
Diabetes tipo I y II
La Terapia Gerson pudiera ser efectiva para la diabetes tipo I, si las células del páncreas no han sido dañadas. También es posible que al hacer la Terapia Gerson la cantidad de insulina pueda reducirse si el paciente es capaz de tolerar la alimentación la cual es muy alta en carbohidratos complejos. Se recomienda buscar otros tratamientos alternativos. En cuanto a la diabetes tipo II, estos pacientes llevan a cabo un protocolo modificado, se cuenta con una serie de casos en los que esta condición se ha mejorado significativamente y en muchos casos revertida.
Enfermedad del corazón
Los pacientes con condiciones del corazón deben ser monitoreados para evitar irregularidades o síntomas indeseables. Su historial médico junto con su condición debe ser evaluada por un médico Gerson para determinar si este tratamiento es una buena opción para ellos. Si es así, la Terapia Gerson requerirá algunas modificaciones en términos de suplementos - particularmente potasio, tiroides y el consumo de líquidos.
  • Aterosclerosis y Fibrilación Atrial - Estas condiciones requieren modificaciones a la terapia y deben ser supervisados por un médico Gerson.
  • Insuficiencia Cardio-Respiratoria - La Terapia Gerson no es sugerida ya que el paciente no será capaz de tolerar el gran volumen de líquidos y suplementos que se requieren dentro del tratamiento.
  • Insuficiencia Cardíaca Congestiva - El corazón está en un estado débil para los pacientes que sufren esta condición y la Terapia Gerson representa un problema porque podría estresar o acelerar aún más el corazón.
  • Presión Arterial Alta - Los pacientes con esta condición a menudo responden bien a la Terapia Gerson. Sin embargo, si la condición es grave, la Terapia Gerson no es sugerida como el tratamiento inicial.

Stent coronario, prótesis de válvula o marcapasos
En la presencia de un stent cardíaco, un reemplazo de válvula cardíaca o un marcapasos, la Terapia Gerson no es recomendada ya que al hacer el tratamiento se produce una inflamación alrededor de un cuerpo extraño. Esta situación podría causar una emergencia cardiaca y hasta poner en peligro la vida de un paciente. Además, ciertos suplementos de la Terapia Gerson - particularmente la solución del potasio, el medicamento de tiroides, el CoQ10, así como la cafeína de los enemas de café - podrían ser problemáticos para las condiciones del corazón. Sin embargo, puede ser posible hacer un protocolo reducido bajo la supervisión de un médico Gerson certificado. Debido a estas limitaciones, la Terapia Gerson no es sugerida como el tratamiento primario.

El paciente está bajo altas dosis de medicamento
Debido a que la Terapia Gerson puede afectar la manera en que los medicamentos funcionan en el organismo, un paciente que toma medicamentos prescritos, necesita orientación de un médico Gerson para determinar si alguno de estos medicamentos pudiera ocasionar complicaciones de salud al combinarlos con la Terapia Gerson.
Daño hepático severo (hígado)
En el caso de insuficiencia hepática (deterioro de más del 50% del hígado), la Terapia Gerson debe ser muy reducida y por esta razón, el paciente normalmente no obtiene suficiente beneficio del tratamiento.
En presencia de ictericia (cuando los niveles de bilirrubina en la sangre están elevados debido a una obstrucción en los conductos biliares), el paciente puede necesitar un stent para mantener los conductos biliares abiertos, después de esto el paciente pudiera empezar con una Terapia Gerson modificada. Esta condición también podría indicar que la enfermedad del paciente está en un estado avanzado y bajo estas circunstancias la Terapia Gerson pudiera no ayudar.
Enfermedad renal crónica
La base de la Terapia Gerson es la nutrición (una alimentación alta en potasio) y la desintoxicación. Los riñones y el hígado son órganos esenciales para la desintoxicación. Debido a que la terapia promueve más desintoxicación de lo habitual, un paciente debe tener riñones sanos para hacer la Terapia Gerson.
Los riñones deben tener al menos 15-20% de su función normal para que un paciente sea considerado por el tratamiento Gerson. Lo anterior es necesario para hacer frente al gran volumen de jugo y la alimentación alta en potasio y baja en sodio. Si los riñones tienen un funcionamiento menor del 15-20% de su función normal, la Terapia Gerson no sería una buena opción para el paciente.
Diabetes tipo I y II
La Terapia Gerson pudiera ser efectiva para la diabetes tipo I, si las células del páncreas no han sido dañadas. También es posible que al hacer la Terapia Gerson la cantidad de insulina pueda reducirse si el paciente es capaz de tolerar la alimentación la cual es muy alta en carbohidratos complejos. Se recomienda buscar otros tratamientos alternativos. En cuanto a la diabetes tipo II, estos pacientes llevan a cabo un protocolo modificado, se cuenta con una serie de casos en los que esta condición se ha mejorado significativamente y en muchos casos revertida.

Los pacientes con condiciones del corazón deben ser monitoreados para evitar irregularidades o síntomas indeseables. Su historial médico junto con su condición debe ser evaluada por un médico Gerson para determinar si este tratamiento es una buena opción para ellos. Certified Gerson Practitioners (CGP), including Gerson Practitioners at a licensed Gerson clinic, have successfully completed our Gerson Practitioner Training Program and are fully trained and authorized by the Gerson Institute to practice the Gerson Therapy. A CGP provides web-based guidance, which means most consultations are distance-based and conducted by phone or online conferencing software. Gerson Practitioner Residents

The practitioner-in-training in this class level has completed the first year of internship and has successfully passed the clinical competency level to move to the Gerson Resident status. El paciente está bajo altas dosis de medicamento
Debido a que la Terapia Gerson puede afectar la manera en que los medicamentos funcionan en el organismo, un paciente que toma medicamentos prescritos, necesita orientación de un médico Gerson para determinar si alguno de estos medicamentos pudiera ocasionar complicaciones de salud al combinarlos con la Terapia Gerson.
Daño hepático severo (hígado)
En el caso de insuficiencia hepática (deterioro de más del 50% del hígado), la Terapia Gerson debe ser muy reducida y por esta razón, el paciente normalmente no obtiene suficiente beneficio del tratamiento.
En presencia de ictericia (cuando los niveles de bilirrubina en la sangre están elevados debido a una obstrucción en los conductos biliares), el paciente puede necesitar un stent para mantener los conductos biliares abiertos, después de esto el paciente pudiera empezar con una Terapia Gerson modificada. Esta condición también podría indicar que la enfermedad del paciente está en un estado avanzado y bajo estas circunstancias la Terapia Gerson pudiera no ayudar.
Enfermedad renal crónica
La base de la Terapia Gerson es la nutrición (una alimentación alta en potasio) y la desintoxicación. Los riñones y el hígado son órganos esenciales para la desintoxicación. Debido a que la terapia promueve más desintoxicación de lo habitual, un paciente debe tener riñones sanos para hacer la Terapia Gerson.
Los riñones deben tener al menos 15-20% de su función normal para que un paciente sea considerado por el tratamiento Gerson. Lo anterior es necesario para hacer frente al gran volumen de jugo y la alimentación alta en potasio y baja en sodio. Si los riñones tienen un funcionamiento menor del 15-20% de su función normal, la Terapia Gerson no sería una buena opción para el paciente.
Diabetes tipo I y II
La Terapia Gerson pudiera ser efectiva para la diabetes tipo I, si las células del páncreas no han sido dañadas. También es posible que al hacer la Terapia Gerson la cantidad de insulina pueda reducirse si el paciente es capaz de tolerar la alimentación la cual es muy alta en carbohidratos complejos. Se recomienda buscar otros tratamientos alternativos. En cuanto a la diabetes tipo II, estos pacientes llevan a cabo un protocolo modificado, se cuenta con una serie de casos en los que esta condición se ha mejorado significativamente y en muchos casos revertida.
Enfermedad del corazón
Los pacientes con condiciones del corazón deben ser monitoreados para evitar irregularidades o síntomas indeseables. Su historial médico junto con su condición debe ser evaluada por un médico Gerson para determinar si este tratamiento es una buena opción para ellos. Si es así, la Terapia Gerson requerirá algunas modificaciones en términos de suplementos - particularmente potasio, tiroides y el consumo de líquidos.
  • Aterosclerosis y Fibrilación Atrial - Estas condiciones requieren modificaciones a la terapia y deben ser supervisados por un médico Gerson.
  • Insuficiencia Cardio-Respiratoria - La Terapia Gerson no es sugerida ya que el paciente no será capaz de tolerar el gran volumen de líquidos y suplementos que se requieren dentro del tratamiento.
  • Insuficiencia Cardíaca Congestiva - El corazón está en un estado débil para los pacientes que sufren esta condición y la Terapia Gerson representa un problema porque podría estresar o acelerar aún más el corazón.
  • Presión Arterial Alta - Los pacientes con esta condición a menudo responden bien a la Terapia Gerson. Sin embargo, si la condición es grave, la Terapia Gerson no es sugerida como el tratamiento inicial.

Stent coronario, prótesis de válvula o marcapasos
En la presencia de un stent cardíaco, un reemplazo de válvula cardíaca o un marcapasos, la Terapia Gerson no es recomendada ya que al hacer el tratamiento se produce una inflamación alrededor de un cuerpo extraño. Esta situación podría causar una emergencia cardiaca y hasta poner en peligro la vida de un paciente. Además, ciertos suplementos de la Terapia Gerson - particularmente la solución del potasio, el medicamento de tiroides, el CoQ10, así como la cafeína de los enemas de café - podrían ser problemáticos para las condiciones del corazón. Sin embargo, puede ser posible hacer un protocolo reducido bajo la supervisión de un médico Gerson certificado. Debido a estas limitaciones, la Terapia Gerson no es sugerida como el tratamiento primario.
