Our Mission

For over forty years, the Gerson Institute has been the leading global source of education and training in the Gerson Therapy, an internationally recognized treatment system using hyper-nutrition and detoxification to treat chronic degenerative diseases, including cancer.

 

Founded in 1978 by Dr. Max Gerson’s daughter, Charlotte Gerson, the Gerson Institute’s mission is to spread awareness of the Gerson Therapy and make it available to people across the world through education, support, and training.

 

Our work is possible with the generosity of our donors, the support of our community, and the thousands around the world who are living testaments to the power of food as medicine.

As part of it's mission, the Gerson Institute:

  • Provides Comprehensive Support: Guides and assists patients through every step of the treatment onboarding process, offering personalized one-on-one support from our dedicated Education Team.
  • Structured Treatment Services: Delivers both in-patient and out-patient Gerson Therapy services, ensuring a structured and effective approach to treatment.
  • Licenses Gerson™ Clinics: Oversees the licensing of Gerson™ clinics, with current operations in two international locations—Mexico and Europe.
  • Global Case Management: Offers web-based Case Management services for eligible cases, leveraging our extensive global network of certified Gerson Practitioners.
  • Training & Certification: Conducts specialized training and certification for medical professionals in the Gerson Therapy™ through the esteemed Gerson Practitioner Training Program.
  • Recovered Patient Network: Facilitates direct connections with individuals who have successfully undergone Gerson™ Therapy, offering valuable insights through the Recovered Patients Network.
  • Educational Resources: Develops, maintains, and distributes comprehensive Gerson Therapy educational materials to ensure accurate and up-to-date information for patients and professionals alike.
  • Approved Vendor Network: Maintains an exclusive list of Gerson-approved vendors, offering high-quality supplements and essential supplies for optimal treatment outcomes.
  • Global Partnerships: Cultivates domestic and international partnerships to raise awareness of Gerson™ Therapy and expand support for patients worldwide.
  • Historical Preservation: Safeguards the legacy of Dr. Max Gerson, Charlotte Gerson, and the Gerson Institute by maintaining detailed historical records for future generations.
  • Research & Data Collection: Collects and analyzes health outcomes data from Gerson patients for ongoing research, contributing to the continuous improvement and validation of the therapy.
  • Online Store & Global Service: Operates a robust online store providing Gerson Therapy educational materials, supplies, books, videos, and digital downloads, serving over 50 countries worldwide.
