Charlotte's passing continues to reverberate throughout the world and remains paramount in our hearts and daily lives as we continue to integrate the impact that this fiery, one-in-7.7 billion woman has etched upon humanity. Without Charlotte and her endless passion, dedication, wisdom, knowledge and the fortitude to climb every mountain and brave every storm, countless lives would have been lost and the Gerson Institute would not be doing what we have been doing for over forty years. The debt of(...)
2019 was a year that amongst our victories, we sadly said good-bye to Charlotte Gerson in a Life Celebration gathering at her Legacy Orchard on a local regenerative farm, placing charms at the entrance - one for each of her almost 97 years. Executive Director Anita Wilson recalls, "all 97 tinkling bells in my heart, the authentic sharing of stories continues in my ears, wind-blown that day with the infusion of sun and soil, feeling all the new connections and(...)

I reported on the Iraq war, the withdrawal from Gaza, the war in Lebanon, Ahmedinejad’s rise to power in Iran, the election win of Hamas in the Palestinian territories, and many other intense events. So you might ask yourself how I suddenly got the idea to do a documentary about people undergoing a nutritional cancer therapy. It(...)
I first met Marie, one of the protagonists of my upcoming documentary The Food Cure, in the sunny courtyard of the licensed Gerson clinic in Mexico. We had spoken on the phone once before, and she greeted me with a big, radiant smile. I was expecting someone who looked and acted "sick," but it struck me that she seemed perfectly healthy. Marie introduced me to her sister-in-law, who was there to support her, and invited me to join them for(...)
