In 1977, Apple computer was starting up in a garage, Muhammad Ali and George foreman were top fighters, and Charlotte, at the age of 55, began fighting for sick patients through her own start-up; the Gerson Institute.
March 27th is always a special day for us at the Gerson Institute, and this year is even more special because Charlotte is celebrating her 95th turn around the sun! Her immensely warm and luminous spirit continues to beam her message of determination and hope throughout the world.
Those who have met her certainly are familiar with her feisty nature and conviction, and it was this tenacity that urged Charlotte to begin sharing her father’s book, A Cancer Therapy: Results of 50 Cases. Her dedication birthed an organization that would honor her father’s memory and spread his message of hope and healing with the Gerson Therapy, growing it into a world-renowned pillar of alternative healing and a pioneer of healthy living. As Charlotte’s daughter, Margaret, would say, “the battles were innumerable, but somehow she always found the right people to stand by her”.
