Six Courageous Cancer Patients. One Radical Choice.

I first met Marie, one of the protagonists of my upcoming documentary The Food Cure, in the sunny courtyard of the licensed Gerson clinic in Mexico. We had spoken on the phone once before, and she greeted me with a big, radiant smile. I was expecting someone who looked and acted “sick,” but it struck […]

A Mother’s Journey: Healing Cancer With The Gerson Therapy

With Mother’s Day coming up, we wanted to share a story of healing that you helped make possible – combined, of course, with the amazing determination, courage and perseverance of Maria and her family.

In 2012, Maria had a traumatic surgery to remove a cancerous tumor surrounding her colon. Her doctors said she would die without chemotherapy and radiation. Soon afterwards, I was diagnosed with stage III breast cancer, and I underwent multiple surgeries and […]

“I Have Defeated Cancer…and I Will Pay it Forward to Whoever Will Listen!”

In 2010, Marcia Schaefer’s “perfect” year ended with a dual diagnosis of papillary thyroid cancer and malignant melanoma, which had spread to her lungs and lymph nodes. Newly married, and with a 4-month-old baby, Marcia had a lot to fight for. Marcia chose to heal herself with the Gerson Therapy–and emerged victorious from her battle […]
