Gerson China, Shangri-La
Founded in 2023 in the paradise hills of Shangri-La in Yunnan province, China, the Gerson International Wellness Center is China’s first and only licensed Gerson clinic.
Licensed Gerson Clinics boast the world’s most seasoned Certified Gerson Practitioners and a comprehensive, immersive Gerson Therapy treatment experience. Many patients choose to return as a “vacation” due to the exemplary care and deep bonds they form with institute and clinic staff. Beyond welcomed time for rest and reset, patients connect with each other through the Gerson experience, building their support network and lifelong friendships.

Yes. Gerson China, Shangri-La is a fully licensed clinic operating under a formal agreement with the Gerson Institute. It adheres to our strict clinical protocols and standards, and was developed in close collaboration with our team over a period of 4-5 years.
The Gerson Institute does not seek out new clinic locations. Rather, they are developed when qualified and experienced Gerson professionals have the infrastructure, team, and long-term vision to meet our rigorous licensing requirements. With its deep cultural roots in natural healing and a strong medical and local government support system, Shangri-La proved to be a viable and dedicated home for Gerson care in China.
No. While some staff members speak English, this location is exclusively for Chinese-speaking patients at this time. We encourage English-speaking patients to continue seeking care at our licensed locations in Tijuana, Mexico (Health Institute de Tijuana), and Budapest, Hungary (Gerson Europe).
Yes. The Shangri-La clinic uses the same standards, treatment protocols, educational materials, and training systems as our other licensed clinics. The focus is on delivering accurate, quality, long-term care.
Under the licensing agreement, Gerson Shangri-La has authority to train Gerson Practitioners and Caregivers in Chinese. This ensures proper expansion and access for Chinese-speaking patients, supported by oversight from the Gerson Institute.
